Materials
A wooden maple leaf is painted using a layering technique used in acrylic pouring. The stretched canvas is prepared separately with a mixture of titanium white acrylic paint and liquitex pouring medium to ensure an even, smooth finish. Once dry, the wooden maple leaf is coated in epoxy resin, dried and placed into the canvas which is then finished with two thick coats of epoxy resin. An absolute stunning, high gloss finish gives an elegant look and feel, ensuring protection from yellowing and damaging UV rays. A patriotic piece to last a lifetime!
